Roadside Assistance

Flat battery, punctured tyre, keys locked inside, empty tank: a lot of breakdowns can be sorted right where you've stopped, without a tow to a garage.

What can usually be fixed on the spot

A flat battery is often jump-started or charged in a few minutes. A punctured tyre can be swapped if you have a usable spare. Keys locked inside are dealt with differently depending on the vehicle. An empty tank just needs a top-up.

When it's more than that

A battery that recharges but drains again after a short drive, an unusual mechanical noise, or a gearbox that won't respond are signs that roadside assistance won't be enough. The driver who attends will tell you honestly, and towing becomes the next step.

Not sure what's wrong? That's fine. Describe what you're seeing over the phone and we'll help work out whether it's a quick fix or a tow.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you jump-start my car?

In most cases, yes, and that's often all it takes. If the battery won't hold charge after a few minutes, the alternator may be at fault, and towing to a garage becomes the more reliable option.

I'm locked out with the keys inside. Can you help?

Depending on the vehicle, this is sorted on the spot or needs an automotive locksmith. Tell us the make and model and we'll point you to the right solution.
