Motorways that cross the department
The A1 links Paris to Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport and beyond, the A3 serves the north-east towards Germany and Belgium, and the A86 loops around the Paris conurbation. A breakdown on any of these follows the same rule as any motorway: head for the hard shoulder if the car still moves, hazard lights, hi-vis vest, shelter behind the barrier.
The Stade de France area
On event days in Saint-Denis, traffic around the Stade de France gets much heavier and some roads may be temporarily closed or rerouted. If you break down there on a match or concert day, mention it when you call, as it changes the driver's route in.
Close to Roissy airport
